Enrichment
At St Mary’s we extend the curriculum beyond the normal school day and outside of the classroom. We offer the children a rich variety of After School Clubs, trips, visitors and experiences, as well as Extended Learning in all classes.

Cooking in Black History Month
The children all enjoyed taking part in cooking activities as they learned recipes from around the world. In these pictures, Year 3 are enjoying preparing a delicious Caribbean vegetable soup!
Cricket champion!
Each week in the Autumn term, Year 4 have enjoyed extra cricket lessons from professional coaches. Later in the year, they will be competing against other schools in tournaments as well as being invited to additional training sessions in the evenings. St Mary's were proud that out of the thousands of children across London taking part in the programme, one of our sporting stars won the prestigious 'Player of the week' award!
African Drumming workshops & performance
Every child enjoyed a fantastic workshop before our most talented drummers rehearsed and performed to the whole school.

African Drumming
Working in partnership with a local charity, we were delighted that the children of St Mary’s were able to enjoy a whole year of African drumming workshops.
Workshops were offered to our Year 3 children and also to all children in KS2 as an after-school club. The children learned from an experienced and talented performer, with concerts in partnership with the local community (including a local centre for elderly people) planned for the Summer Term.
Congratulations to our bursary students!
Every week, children in Years 4, 5 and 6 have been enjoying trumpet lessons at St Mary's. The culmination of their music lessons this year was a wonderful concert enjoyed by the whole school. In addition, we are very proud that 2 of our students have been awarded a Bursary, in order for them to be able to access additional lessons and to support them to make even more progress in learning to play an instrument.
