Harvest 2026

Father David led us in a very special Harvest worship as we gave thanks for all that we have in the world. Thank you to all of our families, who very generously donated a record breaking amount of food and toiletries, especially given the challenging times we are living in. All of the contributions will be shared with those most in need in our local community.

During the worship, Father David blessed a very special harvest loaf, kindly baked by one of our School Governors, Kate Riches. Back at school, every child in our school community was offered a delicious piece of the Harvest loaf, as we shared one bread together.

We received this letter of thanks: Dear friends, I am writing on behalf of LewCAS to thank you all most heartily for the wonderful cornucopia of gifts you delivered to St John's for the LewCAS food bank last Tuesday. Our cupboards are bursting at the seams and we are so grateful, not only for the material help, but also for the great boost to morale that your support provides. It is really heartening to know that so many people are ready to offer a welcome to asylum seekers in Lewisham! Please pass on this message to all who contributed so generously.
