THURSDAY 5TH OCTOBER
This afternoon, we did rock climbing and dragon boating. During dragon boating, we had to work as a team while we raced against other schools. Our evening activity was great! It was our first time at a silent disco. We will miss PGL but we can’t wait to see our parents again tomorrow evening.
Our penultimate day arrived and we started off ready to devour our cooked breakfast. After eating, we did some fencing . We learnt how to move around by playing a game called stomp. Did you know that the sword used in fencing is called a foil? After that, we had a go at trapeze. We had to climb a tall pole and then jump off a platform. It took a lot of courage to step off the platform but we all had a good go at it.
WEDNESDAY 4TH OCTOBER
We couldn’t wait to get started on our afternoon activities after lunch: aeroball and Jacob’s Ladder. In the evening, we played a real-life game of 'Cluedo'. It was AMAZING because we felt like detectives!
We were excited to see what our second full day at PGL had in store for us. After a hearty breakfast, we had a go at the vertical challenge and Archery. We tried to face our fears and encourage each other.
TUESDAY 3RD OCTOBER
After dinner, we had our evening activity - Campfire. We sang songs, shared some marshmallows and listened to stories.
We had our first full day at PGL today and we had a blast. We tried our hand a laser tag and problem solving in the morning. In the afternoon, after a hearty lunch, we were able to go on a zip wire and get muddy while doing a sensory trail.
Good morning! It's a beautiful sunny day on the Isle of Wight. All slept well and up early for a hot breakfast, followed by an amazing day of activities.
MONDAY 2ND OCTOBER
DAY 1: We have arrived! We loved watching the waves as we sailed to the Isle of Wight on the ferry and our cabins are homely. We met our group leader (Freya) and she showed us all around PGL. After that, we enjoyed our evening meal and our first ever activity - Passport to the World. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings.
DAY 1: children have arrived safely on the Isle of Wight. Everyone had a good journey and children are all really looking forward to the week's activities!
