Our Church
|
St Mary's Church is an integral part of our School Community, as a place of worship, reflection, community work and learning. We are regularly welcomed by Father Steve, Father Max and Reader Marion for our Worship which reflects key dates in the Christian Calendar. Our annual Prayer Day provides the children with the opportunity to reflect and pray at stations both in the church and in the adjoining therapeutic garden. Community projects include maintaining the Church garden and collecting food for the Church food bank donations. Our children's creative talents are celebrated in St Mary's Church through community Choir concerts and Art exhibitions. The clergy team regularly welcome our children to support the curriculum, both in Religious Education but also using the Church as a learning space to support the wider curriculum.

First Communion 2022
A very special service was held at St Mary's Church on Sunday 23rd October as fourteen of our children from St Mary's School celebrated their First Communion at St Mary's Church. We are blessed that Father Max has spent the last 2 months preparing the children, meeting with them each week and leading them in a programme of study and reflection. The children were welcomed by the St Mary's Church congregation and it was a special day for the children and their families.
