Welcome from Headteacher
Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to welcome you to St Mary’s Lewisham CE Primary School website.
I am privileged to be the Headteacher of a vibrant and thriving school community. We have wonderful children who are happy and enthusiastic learners, with enquiring minds. They are encouraged to be creative, ask questions and explore their learning opportunities so that we can support them to achieve their full potential.
Our school vision and Christian values guide us in our learning together as a community so that we can celebrate every person’s unique gifts and promote their wellbeing and potential.
The needs of the children are always paramount in the life of the school and the decisions that we make. I strongly believe in providing our children with exciting, creative and meaningful learning experiences, which build their enthusiasm for learning and help them to grow and develop positively in a variety of ways.
I think it is crucial to involve the children and their families as partners in their education. I am also keen on building a whole school community which thrives on mutual respect and values positive relationships. I know how vital working in partnership with parents really is in order for children to find school a positive and rewarding experience. As key educators in your children’s lives, I feel that it is important that you have a voice and that as a school we are approachable and allocate time to listen to your concerns, worries or thoughts about the school.
You can be assured that as Headteacher, I will strive to create the best education for your children whilst they are a part of our school family. Please do come and introduce yourselves – I will attempt to be at the gate before and after school each day.
I look forward to meeting you all.
Thank you for your continued support.
Yours sincerely,
Christine Graham
