Nursery class have been very busy over the past two week hatching our very own chicks! The children thoroughly enjoyed observing the eggs in their incubator. We waited in suspense for two days before the first chick hatched out of it’s egg. In total, we were lucky enough to have all ten of our chicks hatch. The children we able to help care for the chicks; changing their bedding, feeding them and giving them fresh water. We learnt how to handle the chicks carefully and safely and we all had a turn at holding the chicks.
“The eggs are going to hatch!” Ava ” I want to hold the chick and stroke it so carefully” Andriena “The chicks are so fluffy” Anneliese “The yellow ones are boys and the brown ones are girls. I would be yellow chick because I’m a boy.” Roshane A big thank you Jenesis and her family for looking after the chicks to carefully over the bank holiday weekend! |
