Caribbean Islands: DT

This half term, we learnt all about the Caribbean Islands. We discoverd a lot about its geography, climate and place on the world map, using maps and digital mapping tools like Google Earth. More interestingly, we shared our own experiences and knowledge of the Caribbean. During this topic, we learnt all about the history of the migration of people to the UK; how and why people came to the UK from the Caribbean in the 1950s and 1960s and what it was like when they got here. Finally, we tried our hand at cooking a chickpea curry. It was delicious!
