At this most important time of year in the Christian calendar, we welcomed Father Steve and Father Max to lead us in our Easter worship. Year 6 shared some Bible readings relating to the events of Holy Week and Father Max brought these to life - with the help of some of our children! Thank you to our School Governor Mr Stringfellow, who accompanied our hymns and led the School Choir in two beautiful and reflective songs. At the end of the worship, each child received a palm cross before spending some time peacefully in our Spiritual Garden, where a reflective scene of Jesus' tomb had been created.
We gave thanks to our Mothers in this special worship. We were joined by Reader Marion and Father Max from St Mary's Church. Children discussed what makes their Mothers so special and how we can help them. Thanks to all of the mothers who joined us for worship and received some Spring daffodils as a gift from their children.
We were blessed to be joined by Father Steve and Father Max from St Mary's Church for this special worship. The children reflected on the significance of Lent as we prepare for Holy Week and Easter. Children were given the opportunity to choose to receive an 'ashing' - the sign of the cross made using ashes from the Palm Sunday crosses.
