On Wednesday 9th February, Year 4 went on an exciting, informative and fun boat trip on the river Thames. We began our journey at Ladywell Station- taking the train to Waterloo East. We saw a lot of fascinating landmarks on our way to the pier as we walked across the Westminster Bridge- The London Eye, Big Ben and the House of Parliament. On the boat, we sailed past and viewed historical landmarks and human features such as piers, St Paul's Cathedral, Shakespeare's globe, Tate Modern, HMS Belfast , the Shard, the famous London Bridge and Tower Bridge to name a few. We ended our journey at the Greenwich Pier. It was spectacular! Wednesday 9th February was definitely a long and fun filled day for Year 4. We started our trip with a boat cruise on the river Thames from Westminster to Greenwich, and ended the day with a visit to the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich.
