Year 5 enjoyed a practical Science lesson as they explored how gears work. They used toys and models to investigate how the gears fit together and how clockwise and anti-clockwise movements fit together. The children also reflected on what happened when large and small cogs are fitted together and they looked at the gear mechanism on a bicycle.

The children have been collaborating and using practical resources in order to solve maths calculations.
