Year 3 have been learning about forces in Science. We learnt that there would be lots of friction between the rocks and the ground when they were being dragged so we investigated which material would have made dragging these rocks easier. We used Newton Meters to measure the amount of force it takes to move big rocks across a range of different materials. We found out that smooth plastic caused the least resistance.
For Black History Month, we took part in a Steel Pan workshop. The Steel Pan Agency told us how steel pans are made, their history and how to look after them. We also played a tune together as a class.
Year 3 have been learning how to write a warning tale. We learnt the story of Little Red Riding Hood, participated in lots of drama and then created our own warning tales.
