Every year, each child makes a Christmas decoration to add to their class Christmas Hoop. The designs are amazing and the Hoops look fantastic hanging in the school hall. At the end of the school term, the Hoops are taken to St Mary's Church for the congregation to enjoy over the festive period. This month children learned about Diwali, the Festival of Lights. We learned special dances, made diya lamps and got mehndi patterns on the palms of our hands.
Congratulations to all of our children who practised hard, learnt their times table facts and took part in their class heats. 2 finalists from each class battled it out in front of the whole school to find our 2023 champions! Congratulations to all of the children who completed the Lewisham Libraries Summer Reading Challenge. They were awarded their certificates by some of our local librarians to celebrate their commitment to enjoying so many of the amazing books on offer, all available to borrow for free! |
